I got a 1990. I am currently a sophomore in high school. Can I improve by 300-400 points? Is that possible?

400 will be extremely difficult at that level, since luck plays a factor into getting perfect scores (or in your case a 2390). Possibly still doable with A LOT of studying, and some luck. Raising your score by 300 points is more realistic; it’d still be really hard, but not near impossible.

When do you want to raise it by? If you want to raise it by this weekend then that’s pretty much impossible but if you want to raise it by next year then you should be able to do it with hard work. Just do a lot of practice tests and read a lot of books.

Just shoot for 750+ on every section. At a 1990, you need to improve each section by about 80-100 points, depending on the similarity of the sub-scores. That totals to 250-300 points that you should improve. After that, improving won’t really help you since yuor score will already be sufficient.

Definitely possible for +300 points in a year. My daughter got 189 in sophomore PSAT and ~1900 at her first full SAT practice exam at the end of sophomore. She has exceeded 2300 in the last few practice exam and she is in junior year. She took one of those preparation class in the summer and went through almost all the practice exam books from the library though.

I went from a 1990 - 2350 from March to October. And I only really prepped heavily from June till october.
