Is it possible to remove a course from my transcript?

I took an Algebra II class during summer at a community college so I could skip to Pre-Calc Honors and raise my GPA by a little. However, my counselor requested to see the credits and when I gave it to her, she turned it in. It lowered my GPA and ranking even though I got A's because it was not a mandatory course, and therefore did not count for a credit. It angered me because my friend also took the summer course with me, and while his counselor did request to see the credit, she did not submit it because she knew that it would lower his GPA.

My counselor has been very submissive and isn't much help to me. I've gone to her with questions on which classes she recommend I take and she just says "Whatever you want." The setback in GPA from the additional class lowered me from 1st to 9th, and now with the most recent transcript from 1st to 4th. It ****es me off because I have the same grades as the 1st place people, but this minor thing will always put me a step behind, no matter if I get straight A's throughout high school.

I want to try to appeal to the district to remove that course from my transcript, because it does lower my ranking by 3. Do you think they'll let me? Anyone recommend any useful points I can use to persuade them?

I know ranking doesn't really matter as long as you're the top 5% but I hate seeing all my hard work go to waste when it's caused by something like this.

On another note, when should I take health so it doesn't lower my GPA? Some people said senior year because everyone will be taking 5 classes so the 6th wouldn't lower you?
Thanks!

I wish i could cry over not being first in my class >.>
be hAPPY you are even in the top 10 lol

Can you take it pass/fail?
I did this once when I wasn’t happy with my grade in a non-required course that I took outside of school. It’s kind of cheating, but then again the people ranked above me aren’t taking anything outside of school and I don’t see why I should be penalized for trying harder. I got As in all the classes they got As in.

But seriously, unless your class has an unusually small number of students, anything in the top 10 is a great ranking.

I got the A in the college course but it still lowered me down :frowning: Thats the thing I’m upset about

Well, that makes no sense. I think an appeal could possibly work in that case, although if it doesn’t you could just explain your situation on your college apps.
