Is it possible to remove a rec after submission? please help...

I asked my friend if she could write me a peer recommendation for the Commonapp, and she agreed. It took a month, and she told me she submitted it today and said it had around 1000 words. I was impressed until she showed it to me- her recommendation was addressed to DARTMOUTH COLLEGE, and I assigned her recommendation to HAMILTON COLLEGE. The entire recommendation was great, but it was addressed “To the Dartmouth College Admissions Committee” and ended with a short paragraph that briefly talked about how I expressed my interest in “Dartmouth” to her.

I was always more interested in Hamilton than Dartmouth… so I have to find a way to delete that recommendation from my Hamilton app! Unless I can’t, and I have to give up on being accepted… :frowning:

As far as I am aware once you submit your application through Common App you can’t edit it in any way, you can only withdraw your application.

Well… looks like I’ll have to give up on Hamilton. sigh

You can address this directly with your Hamilton admissions representative through a relatively brief written communication.
