I just received the scores from my first AP tests (AP European History and AP Biology.) While I passed my AP Euro exam, I got a 2 on AP Bio. I worked quite hard in the class, and am very dissatisfied with the score; is there any way to retake the test? :(

Yes, you can retake it next year.

How would you go about doing that, though?

If you really want to retake it, you can retake it in May of next year. Just make sure you keep all of that biology knowledge in your head, haha.

However, maybe you should consider just taking the Biology SAT Subject Test in October of next year and scoring well on that. It’s relatively easy, and scoring well on that exam will prove to colleges that you understand the subject. I really feel like a good score on this exam would cancel out any (if there even IS any) negative effect of the 2 on your college application.

^ I agree with the person above me. AP scores are not really a make it or break it when applying to a school (unless you get all 1s or 2s, or all 5s). Sometimes they aren’t even considered.

SAT Subject test scores are used when applying to a school and that test is a lot easier.

Alright, thanks. May will give me plenty of time to study with my notes and PPTs. :D

And I’ll be sure to take the Biology SAT Subject test as well. ^.^

Just talk to whomever is in charge of AP exams at your school and tell them to put you in for AP Biology.

Are you kidding? Derek260 of course they’re considered! I just got my score in the mail and I’m so upset. I’m so disappointed in myself. This test was going to give me college credit… two semesters worth! TKctyer I’m sorry to say this, but you wasted a whole year just like I did.
