Is it possible to self-study Calculus AB in four months?

Hi guys. I really need to ace the AP Calc AB test this may. In my school, I am in Algebra 2/Trig... My school is not very friendly with kids who want to move ahead. So, I am taking Precalculus online this spring (but I will have self studied the textbook by February). Then, will the four months remaining until May be enough to self study and thoroughly learn AP Calculus AB? (I'll be a dedicated self studier, I promise)

Any tips or advice?

Thanks!

Yes, it is definitely possible. You should look into MIT’s OpenCourseware 18.01 lectures:
[Single Variable Calculus | Mathematics | MIT OpenCourseWare](Single Variable Calculus | Mathematics | MIT OpenCourseWare)

Note, though, that some things in that course are BC-specific, or even beyond BC, but the majority of it (until you reach the later chapters of integration) should be in AB.

I fought tooth and nail to start taking AP Calc AB without Pre-Calc on flvs and eventually convinced the head person to let me in. We are in the same boat together, so I’d say yes :)

^ ModernAge, can you tell me how that goes? AP Calc AB on flvs i might do it also sometime in the future

Ok, since I’m in the grace period I don’t have access to the course book and can’t give a good answer right now(I only have access to an earlier book).

So far, I would compare it to an assisted self-study, but I don’t mind as I did algebra 2 on flvs in about 2 months and learned it better than almost all at my school. There are 9 chapters(1 being review). Seems not bad so far.

Where online are you taking precalc?

Hes taking AP Calc AB on FLVS
