Is it possible to switch before getting to Berk?

Not to jinx myself, but assuming I get into UCB next week, I want to get into EECS but I picked L & S on my app because I had no idea what I was doing when I was filling it out. How should I pursue this even before stepping foot on berkeley?

If you want to study EE and not have to take at least 6 upper division CS courses, then you need to switch into the College of Engineering and EECS major, as described here: [Change of College — UC Berkeley College of Engineering](http://coe.berkeley.edu/students/prospective-students/admissions/change-of-college)

If you want to study CS, then don’t bother with the above; just take the L&S CS prerequisites and declare L&S CS when you have completed them. L&S CS is currently not a capped major, according to [Office of Undergraduate Advising: List of Majors](http://ls-advise.berkeley.edu/major/majorlist.html) .

^ok cool thanks for the advice

I guess I’ll stick with L & S since I wanna do CS.
