We're on winter break until next Monday (January 7th). However, Vandy's application is due January 3rd, including the ED supplemental contract, which requires the signatures of the applicant, parents, and guidance counselor...I can get the first 2 but my guidance counselor is out of town and won't be back till school resumes. Is there any way I can have my GC call Vandy admissions when school returns so that they can switch me from RD to ED2? And if so, what should I do regarding the contract? Should I mark RD for now?

It shouldn't be a problem. However, if I were you, I would mark ED2 from the start, then just send in your GC's signature afterwards. I would send them an email to explain the circumstance.

How would I send in my GC's signature? Would I fax it or snail mail it? and I'm nervous about emailing them...what would be my excuse? I don't want to come off as a slacker who couldn't make his mind until the last minute.

bump please

My friend from school did this. Give Undergraduate Admissions a call and they will fix everything up for you.

Will it be too late if I call on Monday (the 7th)? Because that's the earliest day I can tell my GC that I decided to switch to ED2 over break.

I haven't submitted my Vandy app yet...should I just choose RD then?

If you want to switch from Regular to EDII (or the other way for that matter) we need your request in writing. Please email your specific admissions counselor (listed on our website). Be sure to include your full name and your SS# or Birthday. For Reg to EDII switches, we will also need the Early Decision Signature Page. Until it's received your application will remain incomplete.

Happy New Year,
Brad

Thanks, Brad. I'll send an email out to her today. Can i have the ED Signature Page faxed over from my Guidance Counselor to the Admissions Office on Monday (the 7th)? Will my application be considered late? I'm submitting my common application as well as the supplement today (the last day--January 3rd. I waited until I could get a response as to what to do about the switching.)
