Hi, I'm a student studying at Cornell as a freshman. I was wondering if colleges (my school especially) would accept ap credits even if it was taken while enrolled in a college. I want to desperately skip Intro to Bio... It's median grade is B- and it is HELL.

An average/median grade of B- is perfectly normal for a science course. It's high compared to the average at many state and public schools, which often falls in the C- to C area.

As far as I know, you can't take AP tests as a college student, but I'm not positive about that.

Check with the registrar's office. If Cornell won't accept the bio AP, perhaps they will accept the bio CLEP: CLEP: Biology Alternatively, you may be able to test out of the class by taking an exam administered by the Cornell bio dept.

Yesterday I stopped by the registrar's office and they said they'll gladly take the credit..... if i can take the test as a college student. They don't know if Collegeboard allows it. I guess I'll have to look into that further. : )

I total agree with you GoldShadow. It's just that it's Bio, and it's filled with premeds which I am not. It would be great if I could avoid such competetion if possible. Thanks ;)

Collegeboard allows it; they have such students in their statistics reports.

But I am not so sure all medical schools accept AP result instead of Bio; you may have to take another Bio course to fulfill their requirements.

(As I lament the ~$300 I'm paying the college board as a sophomore) I am sure that the college board would be more than happy to take your money. :)
