<p>Say for example if I wanted to transfer schools, but also wanted to switch the major I was taking at the switched school, is that possible.</p>

<p>It’s actually fairly common. Many students transfer because their first school didn’t offer the field of study they wanted so they decided to go to a school that offered that major. I did that, although I switched into a relatively similar field as the one I declared at my previous school (environmental science to geology).</p>
<p>Some schools do require that you take the prerequisites for the major (seems most common for business and engineering) so you should check if the schools you’re interested in transferring to have these policies.</p>
