I currently attend Long Beach City College and at the end of the semester I'd like move to Santa Monica and go to SMC. Is this possible? And if so, is switching community colleges looked down upon by universities?
I'd appreciate any input, Thanks!

yes its possible
no its not looked down upon. as long as your not jumping multiple times.

UC’s and CSU’s don’t care if you move around the CCC system, only counselors hate it. Who cares what counselors think anyways just because they get upset for having to do their job.

Jump ahead at SMC by taking around 6 units during their 6 week Winter Semester!!! Don’t do more than 1 hard core or 2 moderately difficult classes during that time. It’s the cold dead part of winter so many students take the extra 6 weeks off so you theoretically could get into some good classes. Not only will you knock out 6 units in 6 weeks but that would put you at a higher priority for registering for the normal length Spring Semester. Just a thought. Good Luck!

It doesn’t matter as far as admissions goes, I do not think.
