Is it possible to transfer to Berkeley from 4-year private?

<p>I really want to transfer to Berkeley from a school which is actually ranked higher than Berkeley (but who cares about ranking)...</p>

<p>From what I've searched, UC schools give huge advantage towards CC students and students from other private institutions are in last in line...</p>

<p>But can anyone give me insight on this prospect? Are there any transfers from 4-year private that you guys saw?</p>

<p>Berkeley has been my dream (I would choose Cal over Harvard haha :P ), so should I drop out from school and join Community College in California?</p>

<p>Yes, students from four year schools can transfer to Berkeley, although the process is not as “seamless” as for CC students who can use [Welcome</a> to ASSIST](<a href=“http://www.assist.org%5DWelcome”>http://www.assist.org) to know which of their courses will or will not transfer as equivalent to Berkeley courses.</p>
