IS It possible?

Sarit_om, I agree that CCers are "way too driven/crazy" but no way is NYU a safety school. NYU's never a safety school for ANYONE. I'm sure you heard this many times, and I'm repeating this once more just to make a point: NYU receives 35k+ apps/yr. There's bound to be applicants with sat scores as high as sunnyd's, and definitely higher GPAs.

If your cousin's considering stern, make sure he shows interest in the respective area through internships, ecs, and such. 1423 was the average SAT score for NYU stern applicants last yr. So your cousin's sat scores do fall within the range. I'm really not sure how they evaluate the GPA...but other than the GPA he's fine. Just don't consider NYU a saftey school. Make sure he has "real" safety schools.

he will get in. his sat is a 1520. maybe not stern, but cas for sure

Yes, I meant NYU stern, not cas. Cas you have a great chance.

Yeah, I think average GPA is 3.6. I heard that NYU has many campuses.

Is it true?

I don't know who told you NYU has many campuses. NYU has no campus, but many people consider NYC part of the NYU campus.

NYU is not a safety school for anyone no matter what their GPA, APs, SATS, ECs, recommendations, essays, or pull from inside. It's a crap shoot. There are lots of other good schools in NY

i disagree. it is my safety, very easy school to get into if you have connections
