Hello i would like your opinion on my plan and if you think it’ll work:
first of all im an international student and ive always wanted to go to BU, but i couldnt apply my senior year for financial reasons but now i graduated high school and i can apply for fall 2016.
The thing is, i dont want to take a gap year until fall 2016, so i was thinking maybe i should apply for the spring semester at a another university (because as far as i know BU doesnt offer that option right?) and then submit my transfer application in may 2016 to BU.
Do you think i can do that? or i just have to stay out of school for a year?
I’m just saying, BU gives no aid to international students. If you couldn’t apply due to financial reasons, unless your stats are good enough for a scholarship, I think you should just stay at the school you plan on attending.
But if you do decide to apply, you apply as a transfer but your decision is based more heavily on your high school performance because 1 semester isn’t enough. But i’d ask the transfer students section of collegboard f you want more informatoin aboiut this.
just take a gap year and maybe volunteer or work. You will def need all the money you can make and that one semester may mess up your chances if you get bad grades
