Im taking business calc 1 and 2 would it be possible to transfer to a UC if i didn’t take regular calc 1 and 2 even if its on the pre reqs?
I’m thinking no. I am taking a business/applied calc class now and it doesn’t articulate to UCI or UCLA. I was rejected by UCLA and that’s what I expect from UCI as well. My class did articulate to UCSB and UCD and I got accepted to both. Check assist.org for your specific classes.
They’re called “prerequisite” for a reason. They are required.
If a business calculus sequence satisfies the requirement pre-req, then it does. If your school requires Calc 1 and 2, then it doesn’t.
Whatever Assist.org says you need, you need. Some schools will require Calc 1/2 OR Business Calc 1/2. It all depends on the program(s) you’re trying to get in at each school. UC Berkeley’s business program, for instance, only requires the business calc sequence.
