Is it possible?

Im worried about my SAT II scores. I got a 620 on chem with out having taken the course in 6 months last year, and I just took Math II.

If I score well on the Math II, do I still have a shot at top schools like CMU or MIT with the 620 in Chem?

If it helps, here are the rest of my Stats...

International Baccalaureate Diploma Candidate

Rank: 2/497, GPA: Unweighted 3.7, weighted 4.3

SATs: 1880 ( CR:620, Math: 650, W: 610, 10 on essay)<--- Definitely retaking.

Awards: RPI Medal, Honor Roll, 3rd Place at State Wide Science Conference , Achiever of Color (from a local college, and YMCA), Honor Roll.

EC's: Cello, Piano, Youth Orchestra ( I also helped them with a grant), completed the LeaderSpark program, Spanish Club (treasurer), Yoga, Change for Children in Ghana (school fundraisers to help a school in Ghana), Tri-M Music Honor Society, Volunteer in local organic garden, volunteer doing grounds work at the library, Science technology entry program, Will be participating in the SENSE IT summer institute through Clarkson and Beacon Institute for Rivers and Estuaries.

It’s possible to get into those schools with that Chemistry score, but you really need to get your SAT score up, especially for MIT. Good luck.
