is it possible to go from 1810 sat score in march 09 to 2100+ score in fall 09?
ppl on my chances thread keep doubting me on this goal
im taking it in december so isnt that enough time to fully prepare for it?
and i didnt study for my first test, literally took it "blindfolded"

if you literally took it blindfolded how did you manage to get a 1810?!
and yes it’s def possible

Don’t listen to what others say, people said the same thing to me. I did it with 3 weeks of prep, and you have the entire summer so its more than possible.

wow eg2333, thats big improvement in only 3 months
thx for the optimism guys!!!

The test dates were 3 months apart, but what I was going to do was not take it in June and take it in October, but I decided to sign up for the June test on the last day and just started studying a month before or so. I pretty much did some major cramming so I think you shouldn’t have any problems with the time from here to december

ok thx, actually i meant to put november on that first post but i confused with it with my sat subjects which im doing in december
so im taking sat 1 in nov and sat 2’s in dec
sorry for any confusion

How did you improve your math score? What did you study? Tell me your secrets!

^ I did the 8 practice tests in the blue book, and checked my answers with Khan Academy. Since I only had about 3 weeks, I did a full length 4 hour practice test every other day so I kinda crammed stuff in. Tbh, I have no clue how I got so low in math the first time. Maybe it was test anxiety or something, because I remember freezing up on the easiest problems, and I really did very well in pre-calculus this year. When I started doing the blue book, my lowest score for math was around a 680, pretty much because of simple mistakes. After I gained some confidence on the math section, my score started to to hover around the 760-800 range.

What’s Khan Academy? I think I’ve heard of that

this guy does videos for every math problem in the BB

did u try any other sat prep books? like kaplan or princeton review?
my local library only has those 2 and the blue book so there all i can use to study
do u think i should go to bookstore and buy other ones like grubers or barrons, cuz my library dont have those?
btw i saw on a post once that u should practice as much as possible regardless of wut kinda book its from

No I didn’t use Kaplan or Princeton Review. If you want to go ahead and try other practice tests, be my guest but I personally am not a fan of them. If you were to use them, I’d say princeton review’s practice tests are most similar to the BB ones.

If you really need to review math concepts, I’d say give grubers a shot since I’ve heard a lot of good things about it, although I haven’t personally tried it.

ok, thx for the advice

it is DEFINITELY possible
work diligently though

Hey, eg. How did you manage to increase your CR score?!?!?
