Is it pretty much agreed that IB/AP is a level above honors?

Just wondering...........

At my school they're the same.

Yes.

Honors is advanced, not college level (at least at my school). We get a grade advantage, .03 to the GPA per AP per semester at my school. No advantage for honors.

we get the same weight for honors and APs...but the AP classes are more challenging by far...

The AP courses are standardized by the College Board, of course. Where I'm from, you have regular courses, then honors courses, and then AP courses. For the purpose of calculating the weighted gpa, both honors and AP courses give you a bump of 1.0.

My school had an unusual system.

Regular: 4.0
AG/Pre-IB/Advanced/Honors: 5.0
AP/IB: 6.0
