Is it really bad to open with a quote that comes from the school's catologue?

I'm writing my Georgetown essay and it's about relating my goals to my interest in studying at Georgetown.

One of the first reasons Georgetown caught my eye was this quote by a Gtown professor in one of the brochures I got last year about the importance of giving back to community. Since that really reflect my motivation behind my goals (I want to become a teacher), I sort of wanted to show the fact that Georgetown's spirit and attitude connect to my own.

Does that sound okay or is that tacky/trite/just plain wrong to use a quote from the school's own brochure.

Need an answer ASAP please!
Thanks :)

I think it shows that you can't think for yourself.

Georgetown is the academic heart of DC...one of the most progressive, knowledgable and unique thinking locations in the United States. They don't want students who can regurgitate information.

Who can't copy a sentence?

I can't.... my ctrl and v buttons are broken D:

ITS FINE if your approach is personal and original
