Is it really hard to get an Engineering major at UC Davis?

I have a cousin who planned on becoming an engineer at UC Davis, but after taking some of the required classes for Computer Engineering, she had to switch because it was too hard. I'm an incoming freshmen in the Biochemical engineering major at UC Davis, and I got a much lower SAT score than my cousin did. So I'm wondering...

1).Is Computer engineering generally hard than biomedical engineering, biochemical engineering, chemical engineering?

2). Is engineering at UC Davis more difficult than the other UC Campuses, including UCB?

1) It’s not more rigorous per se. You’ll need to know how to program, which requires a thought process you probably won’t find in other engineering disciplines.

2) I assume it’s neither more nor less difficult. However, the higher-ranked school usually has the more uptight, cut-throat academic culture.

Thanks so much

You should stop worrying so much about whether it is hard or not and just do your best. Doing your best is the only thing in your power to change.
