Is it really important to have at least 3 years of foreign language for UCLA?

Honors weighting is capped at 8 semesters for non-ELC students; it is unlimited for ELC students.
Additionally, however, every applicant gets specific extra points merely for having taken courses beyond the required # of a-g courses. (not per course)</p>
