To get a 800 on the Math IIC test without a graphing calculator?

I wouldn't have gotten my 800 without one.

^ me too lol
But It's not impossible to get 800 without graphing calculator. A graphing calculator in many ways can help you go faster. Graphing calculators help to a certain extent.

Graphing calcs are REQUIRED for the test, so if you implying that you are entertaining the thought of not using a calc, then it would be a bad idea. Otherwise, this thread is just useless.

I know someone who got an 800 without one...

they could have been lying though

I'm sure its possible (I doubt I could), but it would be dumb to try. I've certainly never tried...

It is very possible, quite easy in fact. All you need is a pretty good idea of various figures, and a good head for plotting stuff in your head. :)

You'll find a normal calculator to be very helpful though. It's very, very unlikely that you'll get a question that you can't solve in some way without a graphing calc. That said, if you can take one in, then do so, it makes things easier. Otherwise, be sure to practice without it as well.

Hmm... apparently it is easier than I ever thought! Like I said, I've never tried. So if you know your stuff, then go for it!
