<p>Although I play tennis in my free time, I am not on any of my school's sports team, mainly because of a lack of time (it would mean that I would have to quit my job, ignore my other clubs etc...)</p>

<p>Will this be detrimental for college apps?</p>

<p>As long as you excel in other places (e.g. grades, ec, job is good), I think they’ll understand.</p>
