Is it reasonable to get into MIT and caltech with my SAT/ACT score?

I know MIT and caltech are tech schools, which means they need high math and science scores (on ACT). But I'm concerned about my reading and writing scores a bit. But how much do they care about those scores?
My SAT score:
Reading 580
Math 800
Writing 680 (MC 65 Essay 10) -- I took another time and got 700

ACT:
English 29
Math 36
Reading 23
Science 33
Composite 30
Writing 8
English+Writing 27

Oh, my SAT 2 scores:
Math Level 2: 800
Chinese: 800
Chemistry: 800

Uh i duno about caltech. Caltech is all about the scores......a 580 Reading is definitely stretching it. MIT u probably have a better shot

wow reading is quite low...... mit says they see the candidate as a whole rather than scores... im guessing you are not going to take sats anymoe.. that would be quite tough to be honest.. and many ppl get high scores in sat 2 so you can't entirely rely on your triple 800s...
