I still hasn't decided yet on my school of choice. I intend of paying a visit to both campuses in the next couple weeks. I would like to know if it's safe to submit my SIR later this month. I don't want to encounter a situation in which they will tell me, ARGHH, it's too late... all positions are taken. Am I guaranteed a position if I got an acceptance letter by June 1st (deadline)?
Thanks guys/ladies.

I think it's safe!

If its the acceptance letter thats holding up the SIR process, then there should be a room still available upon being accepted. Some University dorms range from high acceptable rooms (Where you would usually have 1 room mate or just no room mate) and then there is the least acceptable rooms (where you would have probably more than 1 room mate in one room maybe says 3 persons in one room) and then theres other necessities that one could miss out on for submitting a SIR late, like putting up with 2 room mates, and having little to no privacy. You may have an available room up to the last minute but it may not be desirable as if you confirm your SIR earlier. And then there is that "ARGHH, it's too late... all positions are taken" type situation, but thats if you really procrastinated. I guess its sort of that pay now and don't pay later type thing or vice versa. Some Universities introduce suite type rooms now so that will be a plus as well, (Suite style: Usually set aside for honors and upperclassman).
