Serious question here: Is it safe to wear a red USC T shirt out and about Los Angeles? Obviously its not a problem on campus or at football games but how about in general like for just daily wear. It seems to be very bold. Of course the source of danger I'm referring to is being confused for a member of the Bloods gang. Im trying to decide between a red or gray T shirt for now. Im leaning towards gray because gray looks classier to me but red shows true Trojan pride which might be more appropriate than for football games. What say you? Thanks!

Wow shoot, I honestly didn’t think about that. That’s a good question O.O

You can wear a red USC shirt anywhere you could possibly be going. Good Lord.

Just because you where red, doesn’t mean you will be targeted. Do you know how many people where red in LA everyday?

not to be mean grabbit, but as a Los Angeles native I laughed out loud when I read this question. Like BandTenHut stated you can wear a red USC tshirt ANYWHERE without being afraid. Actually some people will actually talk to you because of it. If a USC alumni/student sees a person wearing USC gear they sometimes throw up a victory sign and start a conversation with you about USC. (This is what they mean about the Trojan Family and this is what USC is proud of. You can literally see someone for the first time in public, but the fact that both of you are trojan causes a automatic friendship to form). This is not the case if you go to UCLA

Come out in the public at L.A and you will see a lot of people wearing USC gear. Every time I go to the mall I see a bunch of people wearing USC clothing. (red/gray)

Pretty much what I thought ppl would say. Thanks a lot.

Sorry for the duplicate thread, my phone was glitchy. If the mod could please delete it…

grabbit, just curious what made you think that wearing red was dangerous in L.A???

A year ago I came out to visit friends and we went to a Clippers game at night. I didnt have anything Clippers related except for a plain red long sleeve shirt, which I threw on.

After the game we hung out at LA Live. I sort of noticed people looking at me, maybe because I was underdressed or maybe it was all in my head, but I didn’t see anyone wearing red like I was. I definitely remember noticing that.

Red seems like kind of a bold color in general, as far as apparel goes. I’m no fashionista (lol) but it does seem to attract attention (when you really stop to think about it).

So you’re a crazy person.

grabbit it also could have been because there are a lot of anti clippers fan and pro lakers fan. (some people are crazy sport fanatic)

Well maybe but as I said my shirt didn’t have any Clippers markings and also many of the people in LA Live at that time just came out of the game too.

For the record I’m a Lakers fan but Clippers night is just cheaper. ;)
