not to take the Math IIC/IC SAT II? my school's math program, as ive shown on other posts, is pretty bad. so id rather trump up my strengths than take a test and show my weakness. right?

BTW here's where i stand:
USH: 800

Will be taking
WH and Modern Hebrew Junior yr
Bio M senior year

U should at least take one math... and if you are jewish (because not many people take hebrew by self-study..) be wary that some colleges won't like it.

ya. but being good at math in my school (i get A's) dlesnt translate into being good at math. im in 11th grade and i dont know what a function graph is nor do i know probability or combintions argh! maybe ill take it senior year. how is it to self-study for non-math type of students?

You don't have to take it if you don't want to. If you have a feeling you won't do well, trust your instinct. Go with your strengths. I would think if you are going to major in something that is not math or science-related it wouldn't be counted against you.

uhhh.... i have some suggestions for you...

get a tutor....i mean there has to be SOMEONE at your school(if not your teachers) that is good at math
2.start from scratch....get the pre-alg books and start skimming through those...the basic concepts of math is taught before high school math.
3.take lots of practice tests....(enough said). and figure what it is you reallly need help w/.
4.all of the above

Most colleges that require SAT IIs do not require an SAT II in math, unless you're going into math or engineering. If you're not, don't sweat it.
