Hi! So I'm a senior currently applying to colleges. I want to apply to Pitt sometime this week. I'm from NJ and I have a 2270 SAT and top 1% class rank, so I'm hoping for a full-tuition scholarship, but is it too late now to receive one? Thank you!

Don’t know about a full ride but my S applied to Pitt last year during the first of December, OOS, and with a slightly lower SAT than you and got $10K. You could possibly get more so apply ASAP and get into the pool of applicants. Good luck!

I had a friend apply in January from Ohio and get a full tuition. I applied at the end of December and got half, plus a bit extra from SSOE. You definitely still have a chance!

That’s so reassuring to hear! Thank you all. :)

What’s your SAT breakdown?

I emailed admissions and they said that you need AT LEAST a 1450 to be considered for scholarships.

As a current freshmen, I did not apply until late November, and recieved a scholarship in April after being accepted around New Years. It’s not too late.

790 CR, 740 M and W. I talked to an admissions counselor at the Scholars Day in October and he told me that they’ll even superscore the ACT, or convert the sections into SAT and take the best. He also said for the full-tuition, a 1550 and top 5% class rank is ideal but at least a 1500 is absolutely necessary. So I’m hoping I have a shot with my class rank, even though I have a 1530.

Just a note about the 1500 being absolutely necessary–I have not received scholarship notification yet (I have a 1470 CR+M) but a friend who has a 1490 CR + M received full-tuition a few weeks ago.

What about ACT comp score? Would a 33 be in the running?
