I received a letter at the end of March saying that I was accepted to udel for the spring 2016 semester. I also was offered the Delaware in D.C. program and a chance to be on the waitlist for the fall 2015 semester. I hadn’t made up my mind yet about which college I wanted to go to so I didn’t send out the reply form as soon as I got this letter. I then went on a cruise over spring break and just got back yesterday. I had no wifi so I wasn’t able to check out college confidential. I saw that some people were saying that the waitlist for fall 2015 is first come first serve and also that there is now a waitlist for the Delaware in D.C. program. I just realized today that I want to go to the university of delaware, but the only reason that I didn’t decide before was because I wanted to go in the fall not the spring and I was disappointed about that. Is it too late for me to get on the waitlist for fall 2015? Is it not even worth my time now since I waited too long? Please help this is all really stressing me out.
I doubt anyone on this thread can answer your question for sure. It is unclear right now whether the Fall 2015 wait list is ranked or not (different people have reported different responses from UD about this issue). As far as the wait list for the DC Program is concerned no one has provided any info about whether this wait list is ranked or is “first come, first served”. If you are still interested in either of these two wait lists I would send in your reply to UD ASAP and possibly email admissions tomorrow as well to inform them about your interests. This is the best advice I can give you. Good luck.
