Is it too late to self-study for AP Calculus AB?

Taken:
College Algebra (community college)
Pre Calculus (community college)
Applied calculus (community college)

Not taken:
Calculus I/ AP Calculus

Experience in Applied Calculus: Very doable class because you need study (not much), understand the concepts on the textbook, and pay attention to instructor. If you are fast in math or a fast leaner then this class is nothing.

Not taken Calculus I nor AP Calculus I: Unfortunately I was not able to take Calculus I in college, because I was building my way there by taking prerequisites, and I'm senior so it's too late to take it. I looked at College Board AP Calculus AB course description (did not take in high school because of my half-day schedule, which was given to me because I'm attending college) and the problems look doable (I may be underestimating).

There is an AP Cal teacher in my school whom I can ask help, and I can borrow the an AP textbook from school.

Grasp: So you see that my problem is that I will not be able to any Calculus during my senior year. I need to score at least a 4 on AP Exam to get credit at 4-year university, where I'll be taking Calculus 1 freshmen year. So is it doable to self-study? or should I just take Calculus 1 freshmen year?
