I was deferred and have sent some more writing samples/letters to my local adcom lady, and I have another article coming up in my school paper that I am sure will be my best... is it too late to send this over to them? Will it be discarded? Are decisions pretty much set in stone?

similar question here....do they even have time to read extra stuff we send them?

go for it...better late than never

its not too late unless your legacy like me, all legacy applications will be finished reviewed 2morrow, I'm so nervous and my interviewer spoke with my mom and was sad because he knows the my region's admissions officer and wanted to ask her about my application but the moratoriom and everything makes it illegal to. My interviewer was a great guy last sunday I called him and told him about how I had a meeting with a dept head of the program I am dying to study and he included that in his recommendation.

I sent an email to my regional rep following up on my sending in add'l materials. I haven't gotten a reply yet. What should I do?

I had an interview last week, my interviewer said that Ivy League schools can't contact applicants during the month of March, so don't be disappointed if you don't get a reply.

can't = not allowed??

OR

can't = not enough time??

I was thinking about e-mailing them something, rather than mailing

Interesting...I understand completely. I sure hope he got what was sent to him. I called him once in January but I'd rather not call him again. Calling someone just seems pushy or urgent. With email, responses can be made with discretion, obviously. Too bad.

Can't as in Ivies are not allowed to contact applicants because of their agreement with each other. That's what I understood from my interviewer.

What about phone calls?

fax the stuff

hmm i just emailed one of my interviewers and she emailed me back..shes really nice..

I just faxed an update letter to nine colleges yesterday listing my most recent and significant achievements. Adcoms are meeting almost everywhere now, so if you're going to send in anything do it--now!
