Is it too late to send in first trimester grades? (!!!!!!)

Hi guys,

I just read Princeton’s Early Action FAQ that states, if possible, students should send in their first trimester grades. However, as my first trimester ended two weeks ago and I’m sure the admissions office is in the middle of selection committee already, should I still ask my counselor to send in my grades?

I’m particularly worrying about this because my grades somewhat slipped in junior year (2 B’s but otherwise all A’s with the most rigorous curriculum) and I was thinking this would contribute to a deferral since they’d want to see my senior grades. However, since I received all A’s last trimester in super-rigorous classes as well, my reasoning is that I would only benefit if my counselor sent my grades now.

Thank you for the help!

Who knows? But how can it hurt sending it in now?

Send them ASAP. (you should have immediately after they came out but better late than never)

Why didn’t you all to send them right when they were released? Sent them now

Yes. Send them ASAP.

I would send them in now. My kids’ school just sent them automatically to ED/EA schools.

Thank you for the replies, everyone! I’ll be sure to ask my counselor to send my grades in today. Tbh I thought I could only turn in grades through the mid-year report, so was surprised when I read the FAQ today that counselors can send in first tri grades nonetheless.
