Is it too late to send in updates as a deferred applicant?

I’m a deferred applicant. I sent in an update and an extra rec sometime in February. However, recently I won a few more awards and was invited to present a project at a professional conference. Today is March 18th, is it too late to send in an additional letter of update?

It's pretty late, but I mean I guess you could give it a shot.....It wouldn't hurt.

Well some schools like MIT have already posted decisions and all. It might be too late as decisions have been finalised but it never hurts to try.

you can always sen in the stuff.. i mean u loose nothing by that but if at all they do seee it then it could be a plus

SM

chlor, I called the Penn admission's office about new submits for deferred students two weeks ago. I was told the absolute deadline was last Monday.

My personal suggestion which is what I was told by my regional representative at Penn is that March 1st is the deadline. They really don't have time to process things that keep coming in. However, if there are significant updates and you get waitlisted then you should definately send it in.

jazz guy, thanks a lot for the info. By the way, I've been trying to call Penn admissions for a long time, and it never worked. Every time I call, I get an operator saying, "a carrier access code is required..."
Can you tell me which number it is that you dialed? thanks in advance.

Chlor, the phone number of the undergraduate admissions office is: (215) 898-7507. Good luck.
