Hello!

I just bought Barron's SAT Math Level-2 study guide to prepare for upcoming October test. What should I do?

God I hope not.

I just started studying for that subject test too. It really depends on how much you already know and how much time you can sacrifice to studying. I am a high school senior who had already covered most of the material in my school math classes so everything is just a review.

Realistically, anyone can pull off a decent score on their subject test in a short time frame. Study through the book, do a few practice tests, then you should be fine.

Yeah, it’s not difficult to get an 800 on the math II SAT. In fact, it’s probably one of the easiest, if not the easiest, one.

Review mostly algebra, maybe a bit of precalc. Do practice tests every couple of days (you only have about half a month left), and REVIEW YOUR MISTAKES every other day or so. This is important. Also, I like to make a study guide to look over what I need to remember last minute. Like common formulas and stuff.

Also, you should program some formulas into your calculator :3 they can save a lot of time.

If you’re already familiar with high school math, you should be able to get an 800 pretty easily. You may want to take a practice test or two to at least get familiar with what’s going to be on the test…

I don’t think it’s too bad, as long as you’ve taken pre-Calculus. Just memorize formulas you might need and go over the topics you’re unfamiliar with and you should be fine.

Thank you for the advice!

I just took one of Barron’s practice test (Module #3) and I got a 780. Is Barron’s practice tests accurate with the actual CB test?

My parents bought me Dr. Chung’s SAT II Math Level 2 and Spark Notes SAT II Math Level-2 5 Practice tests. Are they good as Barron’s? What about Meylani?

Barron’s is a lot harder than the actual test… you’ll do fine o.o;

Yes, Barron’s is MUCH more difficult than the real deal. I’ve heard that mid to high 600 on a Barron’s test equates to an 800 on the real test.

I really hope not. I have a lot to learn as well, and I’ve just started prep =
