Is It Too Late To Take Subject Tests In Janurary For Applications Due Janurary 1st?

I have taken the S.A.T. twice , but I have not taken the ACT so I had signed myself up for 2 Subject tests for today's December testing, but unfortunately I've missed the testing due to personal reasons; my grandmother passed away 2 days ago and I had to go with my dad across seas visit the rest of my family and attend the funeral. I'm currently not in the U.S. right now.

I was planning on applying to Boston University and New York University, but both websites have said that the latest they will take S.A.T. scores is from the December testing as both of their applications are due January 1st so I was wondering if there was anyway I could get around. Or is going to a back up school and transferring later in the school year my only option?

Thanks a lot for the help everybody.

I think its unlikely, but before you give up you should definitely call the schools. Tell them about your circumstances and ask if they would be willing to accept a late score. If that fails, try transferring. There have been instances where people transfer from community college to ivies, so anything is possible! Good luck

Now I'm nervous. My counselor had told me it would be fine to apply in January and take the SAT Subject Tests in January...

I am going to be extremely upset if I can't even apply to most of my schools now.
