I'm applying to Pratt Institute in NY. Would that score not be available before college applications are due? I will take my first SAT in November. I'm so mad at myself for waiting too late. The seats are all full for the October test :(
The college that I want to apply to says: Freshman Admissions Requirements for Fall 2015, Freshmen regular decision deadline: January 5
SAT dates are November 8 and December 6

Your test sadly will not make in time for early action. From Pratt’s site:

Where do you live? Could you travel to another city that has openings in October? Definitely worth looking into!

Pratt has a non-binding early action program for which you need to apply by Nov 1 and the Dec test will be too late for that. However, its regular admisison deadline is Jan 5 and the Dec SAT is accepted for that.

Have you already taken the ACT? They will accept that.

December scores become available by the 23rd of december, so you’ll have time don’t worry (<a href=“Getting SAT Scores – SAT Suite of Assessments | College Board”>The SAT – SAT Suite | College Board). But I would suggest submitting the application before sending the scores. That way they’ll be able to connect your scores to the app straightaway without “holding” them. Good luck!

Okay. Thank you!!
