Is it too late?

I just got news from my mom that she is now ABLE to go to orientation this Thursday-Friday (7/6-7/7). Is it too late to change the RSVP to add her on??

I'm sure that they will gladly let her in. You may have to call the Orientation phone number. It may be the website GUI is no longer able to add another. They are simply trying to get an idea of how many people - for the sessions, the meals, and for lodging (for those who spend the night). You would have to pay a fee for her, like we all were required to pay. My wife, my brother, my son (the student) and myself all attended. It was awesome. Tell your Mom to be sure to attend the "Parenting through the College Years" session. They literally were passing kleenex boxes up from one row of seats to the next, as parents (with children who have already gone thru the college process) shared their memories, frustrations, worries, joys, etc. There was hardly a dry eye in the audience. Much good advice was exchanged. How often to call. How to do the "move-in week". How to handle the students who cry saying "Mom, take me home, i can't do this". It was very moving.

No, she can register AT orientation... They probably wont have a room for her, so plan on getting a hotel room for the night, but she can still go (and participate).

well she's driving back home at night...so that wont be much of a problem
