<p>yeah, i dunno how big your school is, but i'm going to assume there are a lot of people between you and her on the academic ladder. even if the one girl moved away, it's highly unlikely you would be able to get the #1 spot. A more feasible goal might be to try and get in the top 10%.</p>

<p>Honestly, stressing about class rank doesn't help, because short of doing something drastic (and not-so-nice) you can't affect other people's GPA. Just do your best and try to get the highest rank you can.</p>
