is it too late?

Once Financial Aid has been submitted to a college and you've enrolled. Can you change your mind and pull it out and use it for a different college if you haven't started class yet?

You can decide not to go to the college you’ve enrolled in, although you will probably lose some money.

You can go to another school if they have room for you and accept you.

You cannot use one school’s financial aid at another school.

You would have to reapply for financial aid at the school you decide to change to. Federal aid offered would probably remain somewhat similar (depending on the cost of attendance of the school) except for certain types of aid that are limited funding (meaning a school gets only $xxx to award and once they have awarded $xxx there is no more available). For instance Pell grant and Stafford loans would possibly still be available but SEOG grants and Perkins loans funds are probably used up by now.

Any institutional need based aid would depend on the school concerned and it is very late in the day. Also it is probably way past the deadline to qualify for any institutional scholarships.

Also, if you have some outside scholarship(s), you would need to contact the respective donor(s) to inform them of your change in schools, as well.
