Is It True About The Crazy Parties?

The school is amazing.
Yes, there is a large party scene, and no not every school is like IV.
The difference is, we get our **** done so that we can party.

When I think of classifying a schools as a “party school”, I don’t really think of the parties themselves, I think of the percentage of students there who fit the stereotypical fratboy/sorority girl party-hard persona. It seems like UCSB is a haven for the kids who were popular (“preppy”), attractive, and outgoing in high school.

There are parties everywhere, I’m more concerned about how I’d fit in with the general student body, not being a pretty, fashion-conscious party girl but not being a hardcore academic either.

Forgive the use of generalizations here.

To contradict that, college isn’t like that because all generalizations are dropped. That is the beauty of college; nobody knows who you are, what you have done, or how you were “classified” in high school.
There is a huge variety of people here…and not only those “preppy” popular people fit in.

I think that all of the UCs are such big schools that there is a place for everyone to fit in. and not just “you’ll find a couple of friends who don’t fit in with the majority.” I think you’re guaranteed to find a large niche for yourself. At least I hope so.

so glad i am accepted

want to go to college by the ocean so bad
