Is it true interviews for international applicants are selective?

I’m from Singapore btw

Also, has there been any international applicants who have gotten in WITHOUT an interview? If so, please pipe up!

U r asking for yale interview rt?. Did u get interview ?

Don’t know if there is any correlation but two kids have applied to ivy’s in the last few years. The first one applied to Cornell, Yale, Harvard, Princeton, Columbia. Only got one interview at Princeton and was accepted there. Did not get one at Yale and any of the others and got rejected at them. Second person applied to a few ivy’s and only got interviewed at one and was waitlisted there. Rejected at the ones he didn’t get an interview at. Not sure if this is a coincidence or not just telling you from my experience.

And they are international

Lmao I got an interview (France) and I am by no means a competitive applicant. It depends on alumni availability.

To make my point even stronger: I received interviews from Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Dartmouth, Duke and UPenn. Do you think that any normal person could get into all of these schools?

(Yale international student here) - Yale Interviews in Singapore are not selective, and yes, there have been many international students accepted without an interview, though these students tend to come from areas with few interviewers. Good luck for your application!
