Is it true that everyone gets into CS61A?

Question in title...

…and what about 8AM math 54? (it has the better prof, but there is also a 1-2 or 2-3 lecture as well)

Trying to decide on what to phase 2 :)

1-2 and 2-3 in the afternoon (siesta time) seem like bad times to go to lecture for a lot of people, due to early afternoon sleepiness. Of course, those who have trouble making it to an 8-9 in the morning lecture may find that to be a bad time to go to lecture as well.

AFAIK everyone gets into 61A/B/C. No idea about math.

NO! I phase 2-ed CS61A last semester and never got in. Had to take 61AS : /

Really? =___= bleh. I’ll be taking a somewhat risk then…

Thanks guys!

I’m pretty sure this is incorrect, at least if you are an EECS, CS or Cogsci major. Everyone gets in. If you don’t get in formally via Telebears you get in by going to the first class and talking to the professor. I am 100% sure this was true when I was taking the class, which was 3 or so years ago. It could have changed in the meantime but that’s unlikely.

rao1434, did you go to the first lecture and talked to the professor? Did he say you can’t get in?

I’ve also heard Hilfinger might be teaching again, so I guess that ups my chances? hahaha but if I don’t get in, I’ll just bug the prof then 8D Thanks!
