My application status page used to say “our records indicate…” and it switched to “thank you for your application to the question school of business for the September 2019 semester”.
A lot of people say if it does that for early decision it means you got in but does anyone know if it means anything for regular decision? I have a friend who applied and Hers still says “our records indicate”. Also does anyone know how accurate this theory is?

There’s a lot of theorizing on the RD thread, the consensus is it’s probably not meaningful. Wait wait wait wait.
One theory I saw was once it switches to “thank you” a decision has been made. I think I heard with ED that some with the change were admitted but some were not. Those who had the “our records indicate” were deferred. No idea if that’s accurate and how that transfers to RD…
i’m wondering if “our records indicate” correlates to being waitlisted…i hope not. I have that on my portal
Mine switched to thank you yesterday. Honestly, I don’t think there’s any way to tell because there’s so many kids outside of this forum that we don’t know what their thing says. I feel like it’s kind of stupid for a college to say “oh yeah you’re going to know on this date, but if you get this message you got in wink wink”. I definitely think it just has to do if a decision has been made
ok i was def not aware of this lol. I was an early decision II candidate that was deferred and my portal stated “our records indicate.” I am waiting for a final decision and realized that my message changed from “our records indicate” to “thank you for your application.” Im not sure if this theory is true either haha
In the early decision 2 round, my message was “our records indicate” and never changed once… Just wanted to share haha
