<p>Is it true that bigger envelopes tend to take longer in the mail. If I have not received my decision yet, should I be a bit more optimistic? This is very unscientific, but, based on the decisions so far, more people were waitlist/rejects than accepts. Way more, and this isn't common on College Confidential.</p>

<p>I got rejected from Hopkins today, and UChicago is my other top option. I would LOVE to go....Damn...I can't wait any longer.</p>

<p>Don't freak out. I live in Chicago, in Hyde Park, one block from the admissions office, and it took about a week until I received my letter. The Chicago mail service stinks.</p>
