<p>It depends entirely on the school. Yeah, if you're applying to Samueli at UCLA, it'd be wise to up the gpa as much as possible. However I hardly think that it's like that at every school. Additionally, there are exceptions everywhere and I think theyve gone lower before, but these cases are few and far between.</p>

<p>the higher the gpa the better of course, but take those statistics with a grain of salt unless the person offers evidence.</p>
