Is it true

that Cornell doesnt reject ED applicants?
like, not at all?

Cornell is my first choice but I am afraid to apply as an ED coz my test scores are not that good. I would rather retake the tests, get better scores and apply for a RD than apply for an ED not ready and get rejected having no chance at RD at all tho my stats improve..

Am I mistaken?

Yes you are mistaken, they do defer some people, but not all, don’t know the exact percentage but I’d guess theres more rejected applications than deferred.

if you can’t get in ED, odds are you wont get in RD.

I might be mistaken, but I’ve heard that ILR only defers and doesn’t reject EDers.

In the College of Arts and Science, if you apply ED, there are 3 possible decisions: Admit, Reject or Defer. I can’t speak for the other colleges at Cornell.

yeah. i haven’t heard that about ILR… but you could be right.
