b/c it’s on UCLA’s official TAP website (which i posted above)

in previous yrs, they clearly stated that comm studies was excluded from priority consideration. but this yr, it is simply placed in the same categories as the other 10 most impacted majors and the site no loner states that it is excluded from priority consideration upon completion of TAP

As indicated on the Undergraduate Admissions Transfer Admission web page:

“Some majors are highly selective. For these majors we look for stronger preparation: most preparatory courses completed before transferring and a significant number of courses completed at the time of application.”

As of September 2009, these College of Letters and Science majors include:

* Biochemistry
- Business Economics; Economics; Economics/International Area Studies
- Life Sciences majors – Biology; Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution; Marine Biology; Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics; Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology; Neuroscience; Physiological Science; Psychobiology
- Communication Studies
- English
- Global Studies
- History
- Political Science
- Psychology
- Sociology

By clicking on the major from the web page listed, the user is linked to each major’s requirements page.

so as long as you do TAP and complete prereqs, communications is basically the same as the other majors (minus the fact that it has the lowest transfer rate due to the high volume of applicants and low number of available seats)
