Since I'm majoring in history, minoring in poli sci, and taking a few econ classes that are pre reqs for an MPA/MPP, it doesn't seem like I need to take that many classes at all. To be honest with you, I've been taking 3 classes since my freshman year and it appears I only need to take 3 classes every quarter from now on til I graduate. Something feels iffy about that. I look at my schedule for Spring and I'm only taking 12 units and since there's no discussion in upper divs, I have so much free time in between. I'm a bit worried cause it sounds way too good to be true for me to be doing this for the next 2 years if you ask. Definitely unheard of for all my south campus friends, and even some of my north campus friends.

As long as you are meeting ECP or have signed an ECP contract (where you will likely have many AP units, you are fine.

Actually I’m a south campus major and I can easily take three classes and still graduate on time. I think the four classes/quarter are for those who switch between majors and find that some of the classes they took earlier doesn’t count for their new majors, so they have to take additional classes.

That or they’re engineers.

well, dont forget the GE’s, people.
