I volunteer as an international reporter for a magazine and I was thinking about sending one of the best articles that I wrote as a sup.

I am still hesitating about doing it because it would be like sending another essay, which can be annoying to the adcom iin addition to the regular essays that they have to read.

My daughter wrote an article for Imagine magazine on a subject she had a lot of experience in, and her high school said to definately send it in. But I think the GC or one of the recommenders sent it. Can you ask your GC?

Of course you should and it won't be considered like another essay but more as supplementary material. If the adcom feels like reading it or wants to know more about you, he'll read it, don't worry.

I am a Business major with an interest in human development and social justice. I have done several projects in development and my article was about children who are sold by their family to become slaves. One of my goals is to implement some sort of social programs that would give abused children free education and create jobs for their parents so they won't have to send the children away.

The other programs that I have realized proved that I have the potential to bring some social change in my society.
At the same time, I don't want to make a big deal out of the article because I wrote it simply because I enjoy writing.

Yes, send it. Quickly. Many colleges have already made decisions.
Older S was a freelance journalist while in high school, and also sent colleges a couple of copies of his published works. Doing so helped him get merit aid, too.
