Is it worth going to a more expensive college (extra 10k/year), if you can afford it?

I teach at a Cal State, and I love it overall. But our 4-year graduation rate is horrible. Our average graduation rate is 6 years, and I image that SLO is probably about the same. I would definitely factor that into the decision.

However, what is important is to find out whether delayed graduation is due to student-caused reasons (e.g. school is not that selective, so that weaker students cannot handle full course loads, or fail and need to repeat courses), benign reasons (e.g. co-ops), or school-caused reasons (e.g. poor advising).
