Is it worth it/Financial aid (out of state)??

Hi! From research and looking online, I've come to really like UW, the only problem is that i live 2500 miles away in NJ. I've heard that very little money is given to people from out of state, is that true?? I would hope that maybe the cost would go down a bit so I could account for travel costs and such. If any of you are from out of state and got a decent amount of money from the school please let me know. I have a 3.9 GPA and scored a 1920 on the SATs, I'm not going to go into the other stuff. I'm not quite sure how much I qualify for aid, I'm middle class, but my family still has debt from our business closing. This probably makes no sense, but just give me any info you can please, because if they don't give me anything, I'm not going to spend the next 6 months dreaming about it. Thanks!! :)

I believe that the Purple and Gold Scholarship Program is fairly new at UW. Basically it provides merit scholarship money to out of state students. They are awarded based on GPA and SAT/ACT scores. I’m not sure about the exact cutoffs, but I’m fairly sure you are in the range.

this made my night!! thank you candela2!
